Buying Research Peptides in the UK: A Quality Checklist

The UK research peptide market ranges from well-documented suppliers to sellers who cannot tell you what is actually in the vial. Before you buy research peptides for a study, run through this short checklist. Every point is something you can verify yourself before you order, and every product we supply is sold strictly for laboratory research use only.
1. A certificate of analysis for the batch
A certificate of analysis (CoA) is the most useful document a supplier can give you. It should name the compound, state the purity and carry a batch number that matches the product you receive. A generic certificate with no batch number proves very little. See our certificates of analysis, or read what a certificate of analysis tells you.
2. Independent, third-party testing
Results from an independent laboratory carry more weight than in-house figures. Look for the testing lab's name, the test date and, where the lab offers one, a verification key you can check on the lab's own website.
3. Identity as well as purity
HPLC tells you how pure a sample is; mass spectrometry confirms the compound is what the label says. A good certificate reports both. A high purity figure for the wrong molecule is still the wrong molecule.
4. Clear, accurate labelling
Each vial or pen should show the compound, the quantity (for example 20mg or 40mg), the batch number and a research-use statement, and the product page should describe exactly what the label does.
5. The right format for your protocol
Lyophilised vials keep well and let you choose your own concentration; pre-filled pens are ready to use at a fixed concentration. Our guide to peptide pens vs vials compares the two, or browse the peptide pen range.
6. Storage information
A reputable supplier tells you how to store each product before and after opening. See our guide to storing peptide pens and vials.
7. UK dispatch and real contact details
A UK-based supplier means shorter transit times and a business you can actually reach. We dispatch within the UK with delivery in 1–3 business days; see shipping and handling, or contact us with any questions before you order.
